Another day of strike. Another weekend at risk with inconveniences for those traveling by train. This evening at 9pm the 24-hour national strike in rail transport begins, until the same time on Sunday, proclaimed by the independent unions. The protest will involve “all the staff of companies operating in the railway sector”, informs the basic union Usb, therefore referring to FS, Italo and Trenord.
“A national strike of the staff of the Fs Italiane group has been proclaimed by some independent trade unions, from 9pm on Saturday 23rd to 9pm on Sunday 24th November – we read in a note from FS -. The strike could have a significant impact on traffic railway and lead to total and partial cancellations of Frecce, Intercity and Trenitalia Regional trains. The effects, in terms of cancellations and delays, may occur even before and extend beyond the end time of the protest union. Taking into account the possible important repercussions on the service, Trenitalia invites passengers to inform themselves before going to the station and, if possible, to reschedule their journey”.
