From ,350 for a ticket to New York and back: high-tech airline TechAir has started booking flights

The airline TechAir, created by the High-Tech Headquarters, agreed with one of the European airlines to rent an aircraft along with the crew, and began pre-registering passengers for flights to New York.

According to the plan, flights will operate from January to March 2025 three times a week. Round-trip tickets currently cost $1,350 in tourist class, $2,600 in premium class and $5,400 in business class.

If the airline remains in profit from ticket sales, the profits will be distributed to those who committed to purchase tickets during the pre-sale period.

As Calcalist reports, several high-tech companies that are part of the High-Tech Headquarters have pledged to buy dozens of tickets for their employees. However, at the moment the company has not yet started sales. One obstacle is the Tibi Law, which regulates the rights of passengers in the event of a flight cancellation or delay. The High-Tech Headquarters is asking the Ministry of Transport to give TechAir an exemption from this law.
