NCB doubled its charter capital to 11,800 billion

NCB completed the private placement of 617 million shares, increasing charter capital to 11,800 billion VND.

National Citizen Bank (NCB) has just successfully issued 99.65% of the shares offered to domestic investors, equivalent to more than 617 million shares, with a par value of 10,000 VND per share.

These shares will be restricted from transfer for one year from the date of completion of the issuance. The total proceeds from this offering are more than VND 6,178 billion.

After issuance, NCB’s charter capital increased from 5,600 billion VND to 11,800 billion VND, belonging to the group of banks with charter capital of 10,000-20,000 billion VND, ranked behind Eximbank and Sacombank.

The bank plans to use all the proceeds from this private stock offering to supplement capital, invest in technology and digital transformation, renovate and upgrade facilities…

Previously, in mid-June, NCB finalized the list of 13 professional investors registered to participate in this offering, including 12 individuals and one investment fund.

In particular, Ms. Bui Thi Thanh Huong – Chairman of NCB registered to buy 56.3 million shares, increasing her ownership ratio to 4.77% of charter capital. Mr. Duong The Bang – Member of NCB Board of Directors – registered to buy 58.5 million shares, increasing his ownership ratio to 4.957%.

According to NCB representative, increasing charter capital is an important factor creating momentum for the comprehensive transformation process for the bank. NCB will continue to increase capital and is expected to reach more than 29,000 billion VND in charter capital by 2028, in accordance with the restructuring plan approved by the management agency.

As of September 30, NCB reached a customer base of more than 1.24 million customers, growing 24% compared to the end of 2023. NCB’s total assets reached nearly 108,900 billion VND. At the end of the third quarter, NCB completed the customer loan plan and exceeded the yearly plan for total assets and capital mobilization for the whole year.
