EQ’s long-time CEO Mikko Koskimies has died

EQ announced on October 28 that Koskimies is leaving his position due to a serious illness. He died less than three weeks later on November 17.

Koskimies has been the CEO of eQ Varainhoito Oy since 2012. He also served as the CEO of eQ Oyj from 2021. Before moving to eQ, he worked, among other things, at Pohjola Asset Management, which was part of the OP Group.

Koskimie worked normally until the end of October.

For the time being, the position of CEO of EQ Oyj is performed by the full-time chairman of the company’s board Janne Larma. Vice President of EQ Varainhoito Oy Estovirta land on the other hand, has been appointed CEO of eQ Varainhoito Oy.
