Israel | The Ministry of Finance agreed to increase payments to returning residents of the north

The Ministry of Finance accepted the arguments of Minister Ze’ev Elkin, responsible for the reconstruction departments of the north and south, and agreed in principle to increase the payments that residents of the north returning from evacuation will receive.

As Globes reports, in addition to the compensation in the amount of 20-60 thousand shekels (depending on the composition of the family), which residents of the south who returned from evacuation received, will be added payment for damage to the house from neglect, which is not paid by the Tax Administration as part of compensation for damage from enemy actions.

Current estimates indicate a payment of NIS 20,000 per family, but this amount may change.
