Mister Menuiserie placed in liquidation, customers without news of their orders denounce a “scam”

Mister Menuiserie, a distributor of aluminum doors, windows and gates, has been placed in compulsory liquidation, we learned on Friday in the Official Bulletin of Civil and Commercial Announcements (Bodacc), pushing several dozen customers to consider action. to court to obtain compensation.

The company, which has more than 100 points of sale, more than 300 employees and achieved nearly 72 million euros in sales in 2023, was placed in receivership in mid-November by the Rouen commercial court, leaving pending orders and several hundred consumers and suppliers worried about losing their money.

“Scam”, “scheme”, “trap”: several Internet users expressed their dismay and disappointment on the Facebook community “Scam mister carpentry support group”, which now has more than 400 members, compared to around 130 as of November 20. Most complaints relate to untraceable orders and unanswered refund requests, which can amount to several tens of thousands of euros.

 

“I have the impression of having been betrayed and led for a ride since May,” Mélissa Sguaita-Matti, who created the forum, told AFP. She and her partner bought a gate and a fence from the Quimper store of Mister Menuiserie without a deposit, for a value of 5,900 euros.

“A class action has been launched,” a Facebook user said Thursday evening, collecting dozens of demonstrations from consumers interested in joining a class action to sue Mister Menuiserie, in order to obtain financial compensation. A lawyer has been contacted, a first meeting is to be held on Monday.
