The Knesset Finance Committee approved a decision on Thursday evening to cancel the indexation of salaries of senior government officials.
In particular, in 2025, the salaries of Knesset members, ministers and their deputies, the Prime Minister, the President of Israel, the State Comptroller, and the Chairman of the Bank of Israel will not be indexed for inflation.
Also, the salaries of the judiciary and heads of municipalities and local councils will not be indexed.
