The Knesset Finance Committee approved a number of decisions to transfer funds from various unused budget items to finance new purposes.
The Ministry of Aliyah and Integration received NIS 60 million + NIS 85 million in commitment permits to support the war wave of repatriation, encourage the repatriation of doctors, and rent assistance reform in priority areas.
The Ministry of Religious Services received NIS 39 million + NIS 650 thousand in commitment permits for the activities of religious councils, maintenance of holy places, celebrations at the graves of the righteous, operating expenses, IT projects, funding for the Chief Rabbinate and rabbinical courts.
The Population and Immigration Department received NIS 14.5 million from the budgets of the Prime Minister’s Office, the Ministries of Interior and Justice to support the voluntary departure of illegal immigrants.
The Ministry of Economy and Industry received 101 million shekels + 160 million shekels in commitment permits from the Knesset budget and “miscellaneous expenses” items for the grant programs of the Office of Innovation, the Yozma 2.0 Foundation, and support for high-tech companies.
The Ministry of Justice received NIS 115 million to strengthen property courts, develop Jewish law, IT projects, construct and renovate buildings, and complete the court campus in Givat Ram.
The Ministry of Transport received NIS 1.6 billion (in commitment permits) from internal changes in the ministry’s budget to promote and implement the metro project.
The Ministry of Education received an additional NIS 206 million for the supervision of kindergartens, training and transportation fees in the ultra-Orthodox sector, educational programs during the Iron Swords War, and summer vacation schools.
NIS 202 million was allocated to finance the Demobilized Soldiers Law to adjust the budgets for demobilization grants and the deposit fund.
