The EU introduced the 15th package of sanctions against Russia

The European Union has approved a new package of anti-Russian sanctions, the purpose of which is to limit Russia’s ability to conduct military operations against Ukraine. The current package is the 15th since the start of hostilities.

The restrictions apply to 54 individuals and 30 legal entities who are responsible for undermining the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. Sanctions were imposed against 52 vessels that were used to circumvent restrictive measures imposed against Russia.

“The Council is adding additional vessels to the list of those prohibited from entering ports, providing a wide range of services related to maritime transport,” the statement said.

The vessels in question were used to transport petroleum products in circumvention of sanctions or transport agricultural products produced in Ukrainian territories occupied by Russia.
