NYAB was selected as the main contractor for the Uppsala tramway

Construction company NYAB a construction company has been selected together Thank you with as the main contractor for the construction of the Uppsala tramway, NYAB informs.

Both construction companies have 50 percent of the contract through a joint venture.

The order includes design work, procurement of subcontractors, production schedule and project cost calculation. NYAB estimates that the value of this is 150-200 million kroner, or about 13-17 million euros.

According to the company’s assessment, the planning of the first phase of the contract gives a good chance of getting a follow-up order that would include the construction companies. NYAB estimates that the value of this would be five million Swedish kronor, or about 440 million euros.

The company already announced at the end of October that it was chosen as the main contractor together with Azvi, but the municipality of Uppsala announced in November that the contract was canceled due to further evaluation.
