Apple’s stock rose to an all-time high

Phones and the stock of computer manufacturer Apple rose to a new record on Tuesday, because at least some investors believe that the company’s Christmas sales went well.

The share price rose to $258 on Christmas Eve. It means that the company’s market value is 3,900 billion dollars, or more than 3,700 billion euros. Apple is the largest company in the world by market value.

During the current year, the stock has strengthened by 34 percent and within five years by 264 percent. The company’s operating profit percentage was 32 in July–September, which indicates very strong profitability.

The company just under half of the turnover consists of the sale of telephones. Recently, the importance of Apple’s services has grown, and their share of turnover was 26 percent in July–September.

Apple’s turnover in July–September was 94.9 billion dollars, or 86.4 billion euros, and the operating profit was 29.6 billion dollars, or 26.9 billion euros.
