Thanks to ‘Moana 2’ and ‘Inside out 2’: more than 2 billion dollars in profit for Disney in 2024

Disney hoped to score last year with The Marvels, Indiana Jones and the dial of destiny in Haunted mansion. But the audience didn’t care for all those films. This year a glorious comeback awaited. Thanks to Inside out 2, Deadpool & Wolverine in Vaiana 2, supplemented with titles such as Alien: Romulus in Kingdom of the planet of the apes. The latter titles were published by 20th Century Fox, which is part of Disney, together with Searchlight Pictures and Walt Disney Pictures. Inside Out 2 is the absolute number one film of 2024 with 1.7 billion dollars in the Box Office.

Since 2010, it is the seventh time that the company has exceeded $2 billion. The pandemic years were of course lost years, but immediately afterwards it was worth it again. In 2022 scored exclusively Avatar: the way of water even more than 2 billion dollars.

Universal Pictures also had a good year with four films in the top ten, such as Wicked in Twisters. Warner Bros had to rely mainly on this Dune: part two and scored with Joker: madness for two without a doubt the flop of the year, which caused it to lose a lot of money. Disney didn’t have any big flops, and that made all the difference.

What will Disney do in 2025? A new one is coming Avatar, fire and ash which may become the hit film of 2025. And also Zootopia 2 should score.
