Son Fernand Huts becomes CEO at waste processor Indaver (Beveren-Waas)

From January 1, Karl Huts, the son of entrepreneur Fernand Huts, will be at the head of waste processor Indaver. The company reports this in a press release on its website.

Karl Huts started as CFO of the Indaver group in 2019. Before that, he worked for eighteen years at Katoen Natie – the logistics giant of Fernand Huts. The current CEO at Indaver, Paul De Bruycker, will become chairman of the board of directors next year.

Last month, Indaver was in the news because it had not been given a transition period for the discharge of ultra-short chains of PFAS. “We are disappointed that we, as the only company in Flanders, cannot count on the transitional period of eighteen months to apply for a permit for ultra-short chains,” it said at the time.
