The Commission for Priority Housing Projects (WATMAL) has approved a plan to enter into force for the construction of 17,000 thousand housing units in Netivot, bringing the city’s population to 100 thousand people.
The plan has been promoted by the Land Resources Department since 2022, and provides for an increase in the city’s territory by 4.55 square kilometers, as well as the construction of industrial zones, retail and office zones, educational institutions, sports and recreational areas.
In fact, we are talking about the construction of two new quarters: quarter A in the area between the Hanun stream, route 34, the village of Tkuma and route 25; block C in the area between the railway, the Sharsheret stream and the new industrial zone.
