Cairo: “The Gulf” The Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Egypt issued a set of decisions, including periods of exemption for customers from all expenses and commissions related to bank transfer services for individuals, which are made through electronic channels, such as the Internet and mobile banking, in Egyptian pounds. The Central Bank of Egypt also decided to extend the exemption from all expenses and commissions related to transfer services to customers of the national system for real-time payments and the “InstaPay” application. The Central Bank of Egypt explained, in a statement on Monday, that these decisions, which are effective as of January 1, 2025, and for a period of three months subject to renewal, come as a continuation of the efforts of the Central Bank of Egypt to motivate citizens.
