Dubai: Al Khaleej: Aramex revealed tangible operational improvements, after implementing the integrated inspection initiative launched by the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation in Dubai. The program, under which customs officers are stationed directly in the company’s warehouses, has succeeded in reducing shipment processing times by more than 50%, and achieving time savings estimated at about five hours per shipment. Implementing customs clearance operations on site contributed to enhancing the company’s operational efficiency. With the presence of customs officers in the company’s warehouses, shipments today receive clearance immediately after their arrival, reducing the need for traditional checkpoints at customs centers and delays associated with operations.
