ACB: ‘Bank leaders do not gamble or transfer money abroad’

Asia Bank said information about bank leaders gambling and transferring tens of millions of dollars abroad was fabricated and would report to the competent authority for handling.

On the evening of January 4, Asia Bank (ACB) issued a statement, refuting false information related to the bank’s senior leaders.

The bank said it received information about some individuals taking advantage of social networks to livestream false and fabricated information about ACB leaders gambling and transferring tens of millions of dollars abroad…

This information, according to ACB, has seriously violated the dignity, honor, legitimate rights and interests of leaders and negatively affected the image and reputation of the bank. In particular, this false information has the risk of causing disturbance and confusion in public opinion, negatively affecting the financial and monetary security of the finance and banking industry in Vietnam.

ACB Bank is led by Mr. Tran Hung Huy, born in 1978, who has held the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors for more than a decade. Mr. Huy was born into a family with a banking tradition and is also a famous person in the public.

ACB said it has collected all content posted and spread false information in accordance with legal procedures to report the incident to management agencies and handle it in accordance with the law.

“As a leading bank in risk management, ACB always affirms transparency, safety and high responsibility in all activities to ensure the rights of customers, shareholders and partners,” ACB affirmed. .

ACB was in the top 10 banks with the highest profits in the system last year, and is also a bank with strengths in retail.
