The shooting happened at around 11:20 PM (local time) at the Amzoura Club. Rescuers who were called to the scene said that casualties were located inside the club. At least three people were evacuated to a hospital for medical treatment.
The condition of the injured is still unclear and according to one report there are also dead people at the scene. Apparently, the police are looking for two suspects in the shooting. It was reported that some of the wounded were shot in the streets near the club.
The shooting took place on a tense day in the US, after the car bombing in New Orleans and the car bombing in Las Vegas. 10 people were killed and dozens more were injured – including two Israelis in their 20s – in yesterday’s attack in New Orleans that took place during the New Year’s Eve celebrations.
The Fox News network reported that the terrorist crossed the border between Mexico and the United States shortly before the attack. At the same time, law enforcement officials told the ABC network that investigators are trying to determine whether the terrorist is connected to ISIS. According to a report on NBC, the terrorist is Shamsood Din Jabbar, 42 years old, in whose car an ISIS flag was found.
