XXXLutz swallows German furniture retailer Porta

The local furniture dealer XXXLutz is significantly expanding its business in Germany and taking over the Porta Groupnumber six in the German furniture trade. Both companies announced this in a press release on Tuesday.

Porta is a second-generation, family-run furnishing company from Porta Westfalica with around 140 locations in Germany, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. In addition to the Porta brand, they also count Furniture Boss, A lot and Furniture Last to the corporate group.

Approval is still pending

The sale is still subject to antitrust approval. Both partners have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
