New parking rules for Tel Aviv residents will come into force on February 1

Tel Aviv City Hall has announced that new parking rules in blue and white parking spaces for city residents will come into force on February 1.

Let us remind you that the new rules were supposed to come into force on January 1, but under pressure from Knesset members, the mayor’s office significantly reduced the changes and therefore delayed their entry into force.

The number of parking zones in the city will be increased from 7 to 9, and not to 14, as originally planned. A resident’s parking ticket is valid only within the parking zone.

A fee for parking outside your parking zone will be charged starting from the third hour of parking. The cost of parking for city residents is 70% of the full cost.

Paid parking hours will be extended to start at 08:00 rather than 09:00, and on Fridays and holiday eves will end at 17:00 rather than 13:00.

In addition, the mayor’s office abandoned the idea of ​​charging 500 shekels per year for a second parking ticket per family.
