Indra appoints Ángel Escribano as new president

Indra has appointed Scribe Angel as the new Executive President of the Board of Directors, in accordance with the note issued to the CNMV this same Sunday, and after the holding of an extraordinary session of the Board of Directors of Indra.

As I mentioned yesterday this medium, Escribano was running as the most likely candidate to replace Mark Murtra after his appointment as president of Telefónica.

In the statement sent to the CNMV, Indra explains that “Mark Murtra has formally presented his resignation as director and Executive President of the Company and President of the Executive Committee and the Strategy Committee of Indra, following his appointment yesterday as director and Executive President of TelefónicaS.A”.

The Board of Directors of Indra thanks, through the same statement, “the dedication and work of Mr. Marc Murtra, valuing very positively his contribution as President to promote and materialize a very relevant transformation of the Indra Group and a solid business project for the coming years.” Likewise, the document confirms the permanence of José Vicente de los Mozos in the company as CEO.
