Israeli companies in the automotive industry will be required to disclose ties with China and Russia

Israeli auto technology companies have begun receiving inquiries from automakers about Chinese elements in their supply chains and among their investors, Globes reports.

The appeals are related to the new American regulation, published in the first days of 2025 and coming into force on January 1, 2026.

According to this regulation, from 2026 in the United States the sale of cars will be prohibited, the software of which uses elements associated with hostile states, and primarily with China, including Hong Kong, and Russia.

From 2029, the sale of cars using smart hardware components made in China/Russia or produced by entities associated with enemy states, including through investment, will be prohibited.
