Techno giant Meta is investing 60-65 billion dollars in artificial intelligence development in 2025, says the company’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg published on Friday In a Facebook post.
According to Zuckerberg, 2025 is becoming a “breakthrough year for artificial intelligence”.
“This is a massive project, and for years to come it will advance our core business and products, unlock new historic innovations, and grow America’s technological edge,” Zuckerberg wrote.
New AI innovations require huge amounts of computing power. Zuckerberg says that Meta is building a data center of more than 2 gigawatts, the power of which will be 1 gigawatt in 2025.
Despite huge investments in artificial intelligence, Meta’s biggest income comes from digital marketing. However, according to Zuckerberg, combining artificial intelligence and marketing has helped the company to improve the marketing side as well.
Zuckerberg’s announcement was perfect for the market. Meta’s share price ended on Friday at an all-time high of $647.49 per share.
