A tender has been published for the operation of the water treatment plant near Ofra, which has been idle since 2009.

The IDF Civil Administration in Judea and Samaria issued a tender for the maintenance of a water treatment plant located in the Ofra settlement area, designed to treat wastewater from Jewish and Arab settlements in the Binyamin district.

The water treatment plant was built back in 2009, but it was later discovered that it was built on private land. After two years of legal proceedings, the High Court ordered the state to carry out a procedure for expropriation of the land on which the construction was carried out. This process was completed in 2019.

In 2021, the Binyamin Regional Council appealed to the Supreme Court with a demand to oblige the civil administration to ensure the start of operation of water treatment facilities.
