Microsoft included in the fight for Tiktok

The American Corporation Microsoft is one of the candidates for the acquisition of the Tiktok social network owned by the Chinese company by Bytedance. This was announced by US President Donald Trump.

He answered in the affirmative to the question whether Microsoft intends to make an offer, noting that this is not the only American company that entered the struggle for a social network. “I like the struggle of sentences, it improves the conditions of transactions,” he added.

After the President’s post, Trump extended the Tiktok sale period until April 4. The head of state insists that the social network should be in American hands. “We do not want the Chinese to stay,” he said.

On January 26, the US National Public Radio (NPR) reported that Oracle Larry Ellison, together with a group of investors, is negotiating a control package of shares of the Tiktok social network.

According to the report, the owner of the BYTEDANCE Corporation will retain part of the Tiktok shares as a minority owner. Oracle will receive full control over algorithms, data collection mechanism and software updating.
