Although Trump has not specified the tools he would use, analysts have suggested that he could draw on economic emergency powers, which allow the president to regulate imports during a national emergency. But this could be hindered by legal causes. Meanwhile, Beijing has rejected the claims on his complicity in the trade of this ‘drug’, while Canada replied that less than one percent of irregular immigrants and Fenanyl who enter the United States passes through its northern border.
