The winners of the tender will sell cheese 50% cheaper than leading brands

The Ministry of Economics has published a list of companies that won the quota tender for duty-free cheese import in 2025 and will sell the so-called “yellow cheese” (“Guin Tsuub”-the most popular of the cheeses in Israel) at the price of 3.2-3.5 shekels For 100 grams, that is, almost half the cheaper than leading brands.

The quota commission in the Ministry of Economics distributed quotas for duty -free imports into Israel 5592 tons of cheese (which is 35%, that is, almost two tons more than previously planned) between several importers who won the state tender. Diery quotas for another 308 tons of cheese will be distributed later.

Importers who obliged to set the lowest prices for consumers received quotas for duty -free import of rifled cheese for sale in delicious departments and packaged cheese, which customers will be able to take in self -service.

The company Euro Cheese will be able to import 600 tons of cheese duty -free for sale in delicious departments in a cutting of 3.2 shekels for 100 g. “Rami Levy” received a quota for 400 tons of cheese for sale at the same price. Global Retail will import 60 tons of cheese for sale of 3.2 shekels per 1– grams. M.Sh.A. Catering received the right to duty -free import of 550 tons of cheese for selling 3.3 shekels per 100 grams.

Euro Cheese also received the right to duty -free import of 800 tons of cheese packages for sale in self -service departments of 3.3 shekel per 100 grams, Marazon will import 900 tons of packaged cheese for the sale of 3.4 shekels per 100 g and “Rami Levy” “will import 217 tons of cheese for sale in self -service departments of 3.5 shekels per 100 g.
