Google also reduces diversity policy

Tech Concern Google scraps its diversity objectives for hiring new staff. The Wall Street Journal reports this based on an e-mail to staff.

In addition to scrapping the objectives, Google, according to The Wall Street Journal, rewitches a number of programs for diversity, equality and inclusion.

Google follows other large tech companies in the United States: Free Facebook mother company Meta and Webwinkel Conern Amazon already let certain diversity initiatives.

Meta announced employees last month that they are no longer obliged to conduct job interviews for open vacancies with candidates who have an under -represented background. They are also no longer obliged to do business with “various” suppliers. Amazon reported staff that the company “is reducing outdated programs and materials”.

American companies such as Fast food chain McDonald’s and Walmart store chain Meta and Amazon already led to comparable steps.

Diversity programs are also dismantled within the US government. For example, President Donald Trump’s government has instructed government agencies and departments to delete initiatives in this area.
