Europe will collect shein packages, Temu

Along with toll collection, EC simultaneously announced the “toolbox” (Toolbox) to handle compliance issues in quality, environment and fair trade practice on platforms from China.

The toolkit will access online purchase activities from the time the consumer accesses the platform until the transaction is completed. Some proposed solutions include scanning products by artificial intelligence technology (AI); Buy secret goods, check to detect and recover products that are not up to standard … They also propose solutions to reform the customs sector of the bloc.

EC also confirms cooperation with the consumer protection cooperation network (CPC) – Gathering 27 consumer protection agencies of member states – opening a Shein investigation, with allegations of failure to comply with Consumer protection rules of the block. Shein is at risk of being punished if convicted.

“Any business that wants to benefit from our market, with nearly 450 million consumers, should comply with the rules,” Michael McGrath, head of the EU consumer protection agency about the game SHEIN survey.
