The Ministry of Communications canceled restrictions on private import of security chamber and “smart” door calls

The Minister of Communications of Shlomo Kareya signed a decree allowing free import into Israel of CCTV cameras and smart door calls.

Until now, the import of these goods required permission from the Ministry of Communications, which complicated and complicated their order from sites that make direct delivery to Israel.

At the moment, individual imports have been exempted from the need to obtain permission. In the future, the ministry intends to cancel the need to obtain permits for commercial imports.

According to the Ministry of Communications, in 2024, about 50,000 surveillance cameras and “smart calls” were imported into the country. These products make up about 35% of goods requiring permission to personal import from the Ministry of Communications.
