Viettel Global first has a female CEO

According to the Resolution of the Board of Directors of Viettel International Investment Joint Stock Corporation (Viettel Global), Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa will be the CEO of this business from February 6 for Mr. Phung Van Cuong. This is also the first female CEO at the investment company in charge of Viettel Group in the international market.

Before accepting the mission at Viettel Global, Ms. Hoa was the Head of the Legal Department of Viettel Group. She also has many years of working with this business as an investment activity.

In addition to the role of CEO, Ms. Hoa will also be nominated to join the Board of Directors of Viettel Cambodia, Star Telecom in Laos and continue to be a member of the Board of Directors of Viettel Tanzania instead of Mr. Phung Van Cuong.

The predecessor of Mrs. Hoa holds the position of Viettel Global CEO from September 2022. After leaving this unit, Mr. Cuong was appointed as Viettel Post CEO instead of Mr. Hoang Trung Thanh.

Established in 2006, Viettel has more than 270,000 billion VND, equivalent to nearly 11 billion USD. The company is trading in telecommunications in 9 international markets in Asia, Africa and America, serving 65 million customers.

Viettel Global companies hold the leading position in the telecommunications market in terms of subscribers, revenue or infrastructure in Cambodia, East Timor, Mozambique.

Last year, Viettel Global achieved revenue of over 35,360 billion dong, up 25% compared to the previous year. The company profit is about 10,720 billion, up 170%.
