The Central Statistical Bureau has published a report on the overall circulation of retail chains in Israel (we are talking about both food and home chemistry networks, and about networks specializing in other goods, such as clothes and shoes, home goods, stationery and more).
In accordance with this report, from October to December 2024, the total turnover of retail chains increased 2.1% after an increase of 4.8% (for constant purposes) from July to September 2024. The turnover of grocery retail chains increased over the last quarter of 2024 by 1.5% after a 1.6% growth in the third quarter of 2024.
For the entire 2024 year, the turnover of retail chains in constant prices increased by 7.2% compared to 2023, while in 2023 it grew by 2.1% compared to 2022. The turnover of grocery networks increased in 2024 by 2.7% (in constant prices) compared to 2023, this happened after growth by 1.7% in 2023 compared to 2022.
