The Skipperi boat service that has risen to the end of the time so far

Large -scale Skipperi, who has risen in the Helsinki metropolitan area, is about to gain a new owner, says the founder of the company Kristian Raij. At the same time, the company’s main form of operation, that is, a fixed season fee, the boat rental service is at least in the present form.

“Prepaid users will receive their payment and any fuel -related equilibrium in the coming months,” says Raij.

The company announced the issue by a message sent to Fleet members last week, and previously reported, among other things, Kippari magazine.

Skipper’s boats have been a familiar sight in the Helsinki Archipelago for other boaters last summer. During the boating season, the monthly fee has fluctuated between EUR 299-629, depending on the boat used and the terms of the contract.

Shared boat In addition, there has been a peer rental service on the Skipper platform, through which boaters have been able to offer their own boat for rent. The continuation of this service is also “reviewed”.

So much of Raij will break the plans that the company’s technology, service concept and team are continuing.

“In the future, in the future, we will operate with a new model, and the services you are operating yourself will be broken,” he says.

He refuses to open up what this would mean. According to Raij, Skipperi has not owned most of the boats on the service so far, for example, they have been leased or used for a leasing model.

“There are different practices in different markets.”

Raij regrets that he will have to be a little word for unfinished arrangements. Even the exact number of users refuses to tell. However, the users have been “thousands” overall.

According to him, negotiations on ownership arrangements have long been held and are “in recent meters”.

Skipperi started its operations in 2017. In recent years, it has expanded operations to new markets, such as Sweden, a couple of other European countries and most recently until the US South Carolina.

The Harmaja 10, which runs Skipper in Finland, has been a loss of its entire operating time, which in itself is common for a company seeking rapid growth in the early stages.

In the summer of 2023, the company reported a round of funding where Yamaha Motor became the owner of the company. The Baltica Handels Sverige, Matu Capital and HP Capital also participated in the EUR 7 million funding round.

Yamaha Motor owns the Yamar boat brand. Skipper’s Fleet boat equipment has been made up in the Nordic countries.

Harmaja 10 In 2023, net sales were EUR 2.5 million. The company made more than twice its turnover, EUR 5.4 million. Last year’s figures have not yet been announced.

Harmaja 10 Oy contains only the company’s turnover. According to Raij, the consolidated financial statements containing foreign operations are not yet public.
