Bouchot molds recalled throughout France after contamination by the bacteria E. coli

Mussel lovers, be careful. The health authorities proceeded this Wednesday to the recall of Bouchot Musles Origin France, marketed in the stores Grand Frais and Fresh and sold throughout France. They invoke contamination of the product by the bacteria Escherichia coli (E. coli).

These are trays of bouchot molds of France from 1.4 kilograms, sold between January 29 and February 7, which are affected by the recall. In detail, CONSO recall calls into question an “exceeding the regulatory rate of E.coli” identified on the molds.

“Gastroenteritis marked by abdominal pain and diarrhea”

The presence of the bacteria E. coli in food can cause, within three days of the consumption of the product concerned, “gastroenteritis marked by abdominal pain and diarrhea (possibly accompanied by blood), accompanied or not with fever, ”recalls the government site.
