Forest board associated company Forest fibre Starts change negotiations on possible layoffs of up to 90 days at the Lappeenranta, Rengo and Vilppula sawmills.

The negotiations are covered by the company’s Lappeenranta, Rengo and Vilppula sawmill, or about 245 people.

According to the company, change negotiations are prepared for a possible temporary restriction of production due to an order population and a challenging market situation.

It is estimated that the planned measures, if implemented, could lead to the lay -off of all staff by up to 90 days in 2025.
