Trump and Modi announced the promotion of the India-Israel-Europe-USA trading path

In the White House, a meeting of US President Donald Trump with India President Narendra Modi took place, as a result of which the parties announced the coordination of various measures to strengthen relations between the two countries.

The meeting took place a few hours after Trump criticized India for foreign trade imbalance in relations with the United States and for increased duties on American products.

According to the statements voiced by the parties, India will increase the purchase of American weapons, as well as oil and gas to compensate for the trade deficit.

Modi pledged that the turnover between the countries would double up to a half -trillion dollars a year by 2030. Trump noted that the parties agreed to work together, “to help build one of the greatest trading routes in history. He will go from India to Israel, Italy and further to the United States, connecting our partners with ports, railways and underwater cables.”

Another topic of negotiations was cooperation in the fight against terror. Modi thanked Trump for the consent to extradite to India the Chicago businessman Tahavur Rana, involved in the 2008 terrorist attack in Mumbai.
