5.1% annually grew tax collection

Tax collection reached 517 thousand 416 million pesos in January, which represented an increase of 42 thousand 350 million pesos compared to the same month of 2024, that is, a real growth of 5.1 percent, the administration service reported Tax (SAT).

He explained that with the amount collected in the first month of the year, it is fulfilled at 100.5 percent with the scheduled in the Federation’s Revenue Law (LIF) for January 2025.

For Income Tax (ISR) 277 thousand 897 million pesos, 15 thousand 859 million pesos more compared to the previous year were collected, representing an increase of 2.4 percent in real terms.

The SAT stated that by value added tax (VAT) 145 thousand 366 million pesos were obtained, that is, an increase of 20 thousand 871 million pesos, 12.7 percent more in real terms.

As for the Special Tax on Production and Services (IEPS), a collection of 72 thousand 116 million pesos, 1,513 million pesos more in nominal terms compared to 2024 was recorded.

The SAT stressed that to continue strengthening the tax collection, it carries out the 2025 Master Plan, which is based on three axes: taxpayer attention, accompaniment to the taxpayer fulfilled and control against evasion and smuggling.

Renew applications

The Master Plan establishes the actions to achieve the collection goal of 5.3 billion pesos by 2025, without creating or increasing taxes.

In turn, it establishes the tax regularization program for small taxpayers, that is, those that have annual income up to 35 million pesos, who may correct their debts with a 100 percent reduction on surcharges, fines and execution expenses.

To facilitate the payment of contributions, the SAT simplifies the procedures and services with the highest demand, such as registration to the Federal Taxpayers Registry and renews mobile SAT applications and mobile SAT invoice.
