Staff Liège distribution centers Bpost lays down work

The entire staff of the Bpost distribution centers in the province of Liège resigned on Monday. The French -speakingbox union CSC Transcom reports this.

In the south of the country there is social unrest at Bpost. Trade unions and staff disagree with a reorganization of the existing post rounds. There have been more than a week of strike actions. The sorting centers in Brussels, Charleroi and Liège, among others, were blocked by strike posts. Those strike posts were lifted on Sunday. In Wallonia that happened with the help of bailiffs.

According to the trade union, the deployment of bailiffs is poorly among the staff, which means that the work was laid down on Monday in the Liège distribution centers. That was also the case elsewhere in Wallonia and Brussels. According to a spokeswoman for Bpost, 40 percent of the post rounds in Wallonia was performed on Monday.

On Monday afternoon, consultation is planned between the boxing unions and minister competent for government companies Vanessa Matz. On Tuesday, consultation with the management is planned.
