Genneia continues to position itself at the top of the installed power

According to the data arising from Cammesa for last year, Genneia generated a total of 3,898,993 MWh of solar and wind energy. This amount is equivalent to the consumption of approximately almost one million homes and that is how the company leads the generation of clean energy.

The month of November was highlighted as the month of greatest generation, with a total record of 393,520 MWh and the Madryn wind farm, the largest park in Argentina, was the Genneia operating center with the highest record in the year, reaching 937,077 MWh of clean energy. “In this way, Genneia continues to position itself as a leader in the renewable market reaching 19% of the total installed power, made up of 21% of the generation of wind energy and 12% of solar energy,” said the company .

The firm is also advancing to accompany mining in its electricity needs, with the development of a new “mining line” project in Salta, which will imply investments for more than 400 million dollars.

Genneia is promoting the construction of an electrical interconnection project in high voltage that will facilitate access to the electricity grid to the mining projects in the area, allowing the growth of lithium production in the region. In addition, energy generation for copper projects that are in development in the province is being analyzed.

The company secured a financing from US $ 100 million to ten years, with the support of international financial institutions, in order to advance new solar projects in the interior of the country.
