“Everything for the cities, nothing for us”: on the rural borders of Île-de-France, a strong feeling of relegation

Silent and unknown, the poverty of the campaigns worries state services. At the edge of the Paris region, from southern Essonne to the east of Seine-et-Marne-we can speak of the extreme large crown-, some indicators saw red, forcing elected officials and public authorities to a rapid reaction . The Prefecture of Yvelines has just signed a “local solidarity pact” to help the 18 cities and villages in the community of communes of the Portes de l’Ile-de-France (CCPIF), between Mantes-la-Jolie ( Yvelines) and Vernon (Eure). It is the first time in Île-de-France that a device for this scale has been launched.
