Classic train between Brussels and Paris will have an extra stop in France

The Lagekostrein between Brussels and Paris, via Mons (Bergen), will have an extra stop in the north of France from mid -April. On one of the three daily connections, the train will also stop in Saint-Quentin, as railway company NMBS has confirmed.

The classic train connection, operated by Ouigo (the low -cost brand of the French railway company SNCF), was launched in December. The train runs three times a day and spends about three hours on the route between Brussels and Paris, more than twice as long as the High -speed train Eurostar.

There are currently stops in the Belgian city of Mons (Bergen), and in Aulnoye-Aymeries and Creil in France. “From April 13, one of the three trains will also stop in Saint-Quentin in both directions,” says NMBS spokesperson Dimitri Temmerman. “Both from Brussels and from Paris it is about the train that leaves around noon.”

The additional stop comes at the request of the French railways. The travel time remains about the same.
