Telia sells its TV business to Schibsted Media-the value of the store is SEK 6.55 billion

Telia has agreed to sell its TV & Media business to Schibsted Media with a corporate value of SEK 6.55 billion, or about EUR 590 million. The store covers the business of Swedish TV4 and Finnish MTV.

Trade returns are used to reduce debt. Telia plans to subscribe for the TV & Media business for sale and terminated in the first quarter of 2025 and record an impairment of approximately two billion.

In other respects, economic forecasts for 2025, such as about 2 % service revenue, at least 5 % adjusted EBITDA growth and investment level of less than 14 billion (except for license, frequency and access fees) remain unchanged.

The store is part of Telia’s strategy to focus on its core business – developing contact services in the Nordic and Baltic countries. The transaction is expected to materialize by the end of the third quarter of 2025 if the necessary approvals are obtained from the authorities. As part of a multi -year cooperation agreement, Telia will continue to distribute TV4 and MTV’s content as part of its consumer TV services.

Telia’s medium -term financial goals for 2025-2027 will remain unchanged. However, the company will specify its 2025 free cash flow forecast from the previous eight billion to SEK 7.5 billion due to the sale of TV & Media business.
