Carlos Tavares, the former CEO of Autogroep Stellantis who was put at the door at the end of last year, receives a departure allowance of 2 million euros and a bonus of 10 million euros. This is evident from the annual report of the Autogroep.
Tavares raised a fee of 23.1 million euros for 2024, a decrease by 37 percent compared to 2023, when he raised 36.5 million euros. The reimbursement of Tavares, one of the highest in the automotive industry, often caused polemics in France and Italy. Since he took office in January 2021, he has been awarded more than 100 million euros.
Stellantis, the parent company of car brands such as Opel, Peugeot, Jeep, Chrysler and Fiat, saw the net profit flashing last year by 70 percent due to disappointing car sales. For this year, the group expects little improvement in profitability.
