According to the Office for the equality of capabilities at the workplace under the Ministry of Economics, in 2024, for the first time since the creation of management, the share of men among those who complained to discrimination exceeded 50%.
If in ordinary years about 65% of the complaints occur to women, as a rule, in connection with pregnancy and childbirth, then this year the share of “female” complaints was 44%, while 56% of the complaints were filed.
The reason for such a change was a sharp increase in complaints about discrimination in connection with the reservist service, whose share amounted to 49% of all complaints filed. Another 13% of complaints were filed in connection with the discrimination of reservist spouses.
Complaints associated with pregnancy and childbirth amounted to only 6%. Another 5% of the complaints were of gender discrimination, 4% of complaints – about discrimination related to parenthood, the same amount – on discrimination on nationality and on age discrimination, 3% for discrimination on the country of the outcome, and 2% for religious discrimination and sexual harassment.
