Sale of Tesla’s in Germany plummeted in February

The sale of Tesla’s was in stark contrast to those of the entire market segment of electric cars, which improved by 31 percent, according to figures from the German car federation KBA. In January the sale of Tesla’s had already fallen by almost 60 percent in Germany. Tesla has a factory near Berlin.

It is impossible to estimate the extent to which the relapse has to do with the political views of Tesla CEO Elon Musk. In the run -up to the German elections, he explicitly supported the German extremely right -wing party Department. Perhaps also plays a role that customers are waiting for the launch of the renewed model Y from Tesla.

In Belgium, a little more than 2,000 new Tesla’s were registered in January and February, a halving compared to the same period a year earlier.
