The sharing of the ‘Vin’ family and Vietcombank ‘burden’ the market

VN-Index went on reference almost all day. In the morning, securities sometimes increased over 10 points, up to 1,343 points – the highest level since May 2022. However, the red color dominated on the electric board, causing the market to quickly withdraw to the lower region.

After the time mainly passed from the end of the morning, until about 13h50, the representative index of HOSE was dyed red but in the reference. Just a few minutes later, the market returned to the green.

VN-Index closed over 1,334.4 points, accumulating nearly 2 points compared to yesterday. Securities have increased continuously 5 sessions.

However, the market fell into a state of “green shell, red heart” when 272 shares decreased, more than 189 stocks increased. The adjustment pressure is concentrated in small and medium stocks, but the amplitude is not too strong.

The reason for the general index still retains the green color thanks to the codes accounting for large capitalization such as VCB and the duo of Vin, including VHM and VIC. This trio alone contributed 5.15 points to VN-Index, returning to the main pillar for the market.

Vietcombank shares today increased by 3.1% to 66,700 VND, sometimes up to the ceiling price. Liquidity reached over VND 506 billion. Today is the last day before this bank closed the list of shareholders to release shares to pay dividends. The payment rate is 49.5% – equivalent to 1,000 shares will receive 495 new shares. This is the largest share of stock in the history of this bank.

VHM and VIC accumulated 3.2% and 1.7% respectively. Particularly, Vinhomes shares have the 5th liquidity in the market with nearly VND 730 billion. The Vin family has grown well over the past few weeks, becoming one of the main pillars to support the current trend. Recently, this group of businesses welcomed a lot of positive information such as Vinhomes projects launching a new urban area in Hanoi and started to launch many other projects, Vingroup was assigned to implement the subway project from the center of Ho Chi Minh City to Can Gio.

In addition, the market also recorded a number of representatives of the securities group with positive developments such as VIX and VND. These two codes closed on reference 4.2% and 5.2% respectively.

The full liquidity of HOSE improved more than VND 500 billion to over VND 21,900 billion. The total trading value is over 17.8% compared to the average of 20 trading sessions, according to construction securities (CSI).

Foreign investors have increased net sold again with 836 billion dong, 3.85 times the previous session and reached the highest level nearly half a month. They mainly discharge FPT and GMD shares.

According to the CSI analysis group, the trend of gaining points is still overwhelming and there is no negative signal to show the reversal. However, at the present time, investors are recommended to limit the opening of more new buying positions, instead prioritizing profits, narrowing the density gradually when VN-Index reaches the resistance threshold of 1,360-1,365 points.
