Two leaders of Vinaconex asked to withdraw from the Board of Directors of Vimeco

Before applying for resignation, Mr. Duong Van Mau was the Chairman of Vimeco Joint Stock Company from March 2021. Mr. Nguyen Khac Hai also joined the Board of Directors of Vimeco with this time.

In the application to Vimeco’s Board of Directors, both of them said the reason for their resignation to perform the work as assigned by the Vietnam Import -Export and Construction Joint Stock Corporation (Vinaconex).

At Vinaconex, Mr. Mau is a member of the Board of Directors and Standing Deputy General Director. Mr. Hai also acts as Deputy Governor General Vinaconex.

Vimeco was founded in March 1997, one of the member units of Vinaconex. This business has constructed many large -scale projects such as the Hanoi Museum, the Danko City project infrastructure phase 1, 2 and 3, Nghi Son oil refinery … In addition to the field of construction, Vimeco is also a concrete supplier at Long Thanh International Airport Project.

In mid -December 2024, Vinaconex successfully sold more than 12.1 million shares at Vimeco through the agreement method. After the transaction, the ownership rate of this Corporation in Vimeco decreased from 51.41%, to 5%, equivalent to holding about 1.3 million shares.

Early next week, Vimeco will hold an annual meeting in Hanoi. At this session, the company will submit to shareholders through business plans with consolidated revenue of more than 1,160 billion, profit before tax 9.45 billion dong for the whole year 2025. At the same time, Vimeco will also elected additional members of the Board of Directors and submit the plans to issue more shares to increase capital.
