Tesla recalls cyber trucks because metal panels are coming loose

The troubled car builder, who has to deal with a major relapse of the sale worldwide now that CEO Elon Musk for American President Donald Trump has to cut into government spending, gets a point of care on top. According to the company, an estimated 1 percent of the 46,096 pick-ups that it is recalling with the problem has a report from the Regulator National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

On the outside of the car, metal parts with glue are attached to the vehicle, but the glue is “susceptible to become brittle by environmental factors”. Tesla will take the replacement of the panels for the account.

Document submitted

Tesla submitted the recall document last Tuesday. The problem had not yet been tackled in the production of new vehicles. The company expects to be able to do around Friday, March 21. “If the ‘Cant Rail’ stainless steel panel (part of the bodywork, ed.) Comes loose while driving, this can create danger on the road for other drivers and increase their risk of injury or an accident,” the company said. The company mentions 151 warranty claims that may have to do with the problem.

The Cybertruck came on the American market in November 2023. In the year after launch there were already six recall actions in the US. One of those recalls was also a part that could come loose while driving.

The cyber truck is not sold in Europe.
