Personnel demands bankruptcy of Liberty Steel in Liège (inland)

“Our machines have been standing still for months and the workers have not been paid for three months,” dislikes trade unionist Farouk Chennit from CSC Metea. In an attempt to put an end to the stalemate, the trade unions sent a letter to the Liège corporate court on Wednesday to request the bankruptcy of the location.

The local management of Liberty must give text and explanation in court on Tuesday. If it does not come with a convincing plan, the judge can refer the case to the attorney to start a bankruptcy procedure.
