Do you dream of working at SNCF in Île-de-France? As a train or RER driver, maintenance technician or station agent? So go this Thursday … at the theater! More specifically in Mogador (IXE) where Transilien-SNCF-The Ile-de-France branch of SNCF Travelers-organizes its 2025 employment and recruitment forum. The event to be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. is free and free to access. But candidates will still have to carry out a mandatory pre-registration by email* to take advantage of the forum.
The JO effect which has led to massive recruitment campaigns in the last two years (900 positions offered in 2023, 1,250 in 2024) is obviously no more bet. But for 2025, the reinforcement needs remain high. The operator is indeed predicting the hiring of 800 new agents this year in the Paris region (almost 35 % more than in 2022, a year which was not yet marked by the Olympic impact on the workforce). The Transilian recruitment program relates to all the types of trades offered by Transilien-SNCF.
Remained training
But, this year again, it is on the side of the workforce of trains or RERs that the needs are the most important, with no less than 400 positions to be filled. It is a question of anticipating the extensions of the network still to come-in particular the difficult rise in charge of the RER E extended last year from Saint-Lazare to Nanterre and which must be extended to Mantes-la-Jolie by 2027-taking into account the incompressible deadlines for training drivers. Those who are recruited today will indeed be at the helm of a train only in twelve months, after a very selective training (remunerated).
In the other “compartments” of the company, Transilien-SNCF is looking for nearly 200 customer relations agents, 150 maintenance technicians, production agents … “There is no unique candidacy profile”, underlines Alain Ribat, general manager of Transilien SNCF, specifying that women are sought for all professions. “Including those of maintenance, which do not require any particular physical strength”, contrary to popular belief.
The candidates are invited to come to the forum with their CV up to date. In addition to meetings with “business experts” and recruiters present in Mogador, they will be able to discover various demonstrations of SNCF know-how or access a virtual reality space with in particular driving simulators to exercise the handling of a RER … on screen.
